On March 23 and 24, the 2nd Congress of one of the Health Outcomes-Oriented Cooperative Research Networks (RICORS) promoted by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III was held at the Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid. The main projects presented were based on the study of blood biomarkers, colorectal circulation, genetics and epigenetics involved in the evolution of stroke. All of them with the aim of improving stroke care and being able to understand the mechanisms that develop it in order to offer better treatments. The current state of artificial intelligence and big data in stroke was also presented.
